About us

The Slovak Mail Order Association (AZO) was founded in 1996 and represents the great majority of mail order companies within Slovakia. AZO has been a constituent member of the European Mail Order Trade Association (EMOTA) since 1999

We were established with the following mission statement:

• It is our prime duty to positively project and promote the image of our industry, To this end;
• AZO will provide information and counselling to member companies and facilitate an interchange of ideas and provide co-ordinating machinery via which this can achieved;
• will ensure that the interests of our members are protected and their views made known to legislative and other State, Regional, local and administrative bodies;
• in addition we shall function as source of information to members on all aspects of the mail order trade;
• we will develop and promote an effective public relations facility via which journalists and other information providers may acquire an understanding of our industry;
• and finally, shall act as a “one stop shop” for foreign companies looking for trading links and partnerships within Slovakia and to provide the means via which information and innovation within the industry may be developed throughout the territory of the Slovak Republic and beyond.
